Mrs. Esther Middleton was born on February 1, 1942 to the late Mr. Osborne and Ethel Hicks in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. She joined the Seleeta Baptist Church where she served until she moved to New York, NY where she joined the Union Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Clinton Maynard Middleton; three brothers: Mr. Willie James Hicks, Mr. Thomas Hicks, and Mr. Jackie Lee Hicks; three sisters: Mrs. Jeanette Hicks, Mrs. Rose H. Maxwell, and Mrs. Luvenia H. Richardson.
Our beloved one departed this life on December 5, 2024 in New York, NY. She leaves to cherish her memories a precious daughter, Ms. Antigua Middleton of New York, NY; Five sisters: Mrs. Emma Osborne of New York, NY; Mrs. Nora Baker of Evans, GA; Mrs. Christine McKinney and Ruth (Virgil) Burns of Alexander City, AL; Minister Trecia Harkins of Harvest, AL; One brother, Mr. Darcy (Christell) Hicks of Jackson, MS; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
