Reverend Sammy Lewis Varner was born May 3, 1960 to the late Mr. Willie and Thelma Varner in Alexander City, Alabama,
Reverend Sammy Lewis Varner was called into eternal rest on January 24, 2024.
Reverend Sammy Lewis Varner graduated from Benjamin Russell High school in Alexander City, Alabama and attended Central Alabama Community College in Alexander City, Alabama.
Reverend Sammy Lewis Varner was ordained a Deacon at Early Rose Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully until he was called to be a Minister.
Reverend Sammy Lewis Varner worked for many years as a Trainer in knitting at Russell Corporation. Also, he worked for many years at Honda in Lincoln, Alabama and other automotive jobs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Mr. Willie Varner, Jr., Adolphus B. Varner, and Joe Nathan Varner; and four sisters Ms. Janet Varner, Mrs. Laura Nell Woody, Mrs. Patricia McKinney and Mrs. Doretha Jordan.
He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter Miss Philenthia Shantel Varner, Two sons: Mr. Samquerik Lewis Varner and Mr. Montel Lamar Varner. Four sisters: Tommie S. Tuck Kellyton, AL, Beverly (Ronald ) Beasley of Detroit, MI, Ruth A. (Thomas) Kelley, Elaine (Randy) Spivey of Alexander City, AL. Two Brothers: Rev Gary Varner & Rev. Cedric Varner of Alexander City, AL, one Sister in law Mrs. Debra J. Varner, One brother in law Mr. Edward Jordan and a host of nieces, nephews, & cousins.
