Rev. James Monroe Powell, Jr. was born April 4, 1938, in Coosa County, Alabama to the late Mr. James M. Powell and Mrs. Viola J. Martin.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Jacqulyn Powell, his brothers K Virgil Powell and Gregory Powell, and his sister Crystal Powell. He leaves to cherish his memories with 3 children: Glenda Powell of Alexander City, AL, James E. Powell of Jacksonville, FL, and Donovan Powell of Coosa County, AL.

4 Sisters: Barbara Sears of Cleveland, OH, Ethel Jones (Aubrey) of Cleveland, OH, Maggie M. Jackson of Gulfport, MS, and Barbara Sherman of California.

2 Brothers: Douglas Powell (Lillie Pearl) of St. Louis, MO, and Leon Martin of Cleveland, OH

4 grandchildren: Quincy Turner of Dadeville, AL, Andrea Rashad of Alexander City, AL, Mario Powell (Elishia) of Montgomery, AL, and Corey Powell of Jacksonville, FL. 8 great-grandchildren: Kierra, Kenedi, Jackson, Brayden, Cameron, Jakorian, Mariya, and Marius.
