Mrs. Nealie Mae Strong Hoyett was born January 5. 1917 to the parentage of the late Mr. Wash and Jennie Mae Moon Strong in Coosa County Alabama. She departed this life on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.
She attended Marietta Grammar School and Hannah J. Mallory School.
She confessed Christ at an early age and united with Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She was an Eastern Star and held the position of Secretary.
Mrs. Nealie Mae was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Major Edison and to the union one child was born. Later in life she married Mr. Henry Hoyett.
She was a hard worker and worked at Goodwater Nursing Home for many years until retirement.
Mrs. Hoyett was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, brothers: Arthur Wills, OT Strong, and Joe Lewis Jones. Sisters: Mattie Ballard, Gillian Franklin, Jennie Armour and Annie Woody.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one son,
Mr. Robert (Rosie) Edison of Goodwater, AL. Two daughters: Jackqueline (Wash) Given, and Franita Yvonne Kelly of Goodwater, AL. Grand daughter, Valorie Edison, Alexander City, AL. Ten grandchildren, 10 great grand children. 10 great, great grand children. Four great, great, great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Special friend, Mrs. Bessie Lee Spivey.
