Jeanette Griffin Tuck was born to the late James and Mary Griffin on July 28, 1957 in Marbury, Alabama. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Lily Hill Baptist Church, Marbury, Alabama. She later joined the Shady Grove Baptist church, Jackson Gap, Alabama where she remained a faithful member until her death.
Jeanette was a member of Jackson’s Gap City Council. She taught Sunday School, Bible study at the prayer house on Wednesdays, volunteered with the Food Bank, Prison Ministry, and helped so many in the community. She also attended many Christian Education classes and received certificates.
She was preceded in death by four sisters: Sarah Crouch, Mamie Tyus, Bertha Pasley, and Annie Edwards.
She is survived by four sisters: Ethel Gill, Eulalia Robinson, Lena (Larry) Green, of Marbury, Alabama and Willie (William) Frazier of Millbrook, Alabama. Four brothers: Charlie Griffin, Willie James Griffin, Lorenzo Griffin of Marbury, Alabama and Jerome (Benita) Griffin of Plantersville, Alabama. A god-daughter, Shaylon Russell, and Presley Skye Pogue. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A very close friend, Willie Ann McIntyre.
