On September 10, 1953 God delivered a special blessing in the birth of a baby girl, Darlene M. Jones to her father, Mr. Eugene F. Jones and mother, Mrs. Clara M. Jones in the city of Birmingham, Alabama. Darlene spent her earlier years in Birmingham, AL and later the family moved to Alexander City, AL.
Darlene was baptized into the body of believers in Great Bethel Baptist Church at an very early age. She attended Laurel High School and Benjamin Russell where she graduated in 1971. Darlene was employed at Russell Manufacturing Company for 27 years. She had a loving personality and spirit. Her smile was infectious and breathtaking, and she could melt your soul.
Darlene was a member of the band and she loved music and dancing. Her hobbies were cooking, gardening, and sports. She loved spending time with Moesha (Boo-Sha).

Kenner of Decatur, GA and Lelani Tolbert of Alexander City, AL; Three grandnephews: Jamarian Whetstone, Elik Spivey, & Prodigy McGhee all of Alexander City, AL; A large and loving family and cousins in Montgomery, AL and Birmingham, AL.
