Morris Ann Kelly was born on November 17, 1955, to the late Memphis and Mattie Pearl Hoyett in Goodwater, Alabama.
At an early age, Morris Kelly confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with Macedonia Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board.
She attended Goodwater High School and was known throughout her life as a hard worker, serving in multiple roles with dedication and strength. Morris Ann was also known as the life of the party, always bringing joy and laughter wherever she went.
On Sunday, April 13, 2025, Morris Ann was called to her eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her parents, Memphis and Mattie Pearl Hoyett; her brothers, William Ferguson and Stevenson Hoyett; her sister, Camilla Fowler Jackson; her grandson, Malik Holtzclaw; and great-granddaughter, Malia Holtzclaw.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her beloved children, Reginald (LaTrinda) Hoyett, Michael Corbin, Sherry Corbin, and Tamica (Christopher) Holtzclaw; ten grandchildren: Carlethia Thomas, LaMichael Corbin, Triteahia Corbin, Sherronica Holtzclaw, Cameron (Terah) Thomas, Shaniah Morris, Alexis Bryant, Erron Bryant, Kyle Corbin, and Rylan Hoyett; sixteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Margaret Orr, Douglas (Roberta) Hoytt, Everett (Denise) Hoytt, and Shelly Dilbert; her aunt, Mary Whetstone; Dear friends: Della Murray, Mary Gaddis, and Melvin Ellington; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
