Mrs. Mable Ford Shealey was the seventh of seven children, born to the late John and Willie Ford.
Mrs. Shealey’s life began on January 24, 1936 in Dadeville, AL and her life as we knew ended on July 02, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Norah Shealey Jr., her son: Reginald Sturdivant, her grandson: Renard Sturdivant, and all of her siblings.
Her life as a Christian had its beginning when she united with the Sardis Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She was a faithful member and held Sardis Baptist Church dear to her heart. During her membership, she held the positions of Church Pianist, since the age of 15, a member of the Deaconess Ministry, and the Senior Choir.
She was the pianist for the community. She served as pianist for Mt. Lovely Baptist Church, Baskin Chapel AME Zion, New Poplar Springs Baptist Church, and her heart, The Ebenezer District.
She attended Council High School and worked at: Dadeville Convalescent home, Chambers-Tallapoosa County Child Development and Karen’s Daycare.
Mrs. Shealey leaves to cherish her precious memory, a loving devoted daughter, Karen (Melvin) Freeman of Dadeville, AL; Five grandchildren: James Jr. (Monica) Barefield of Pell City, AL, Justin (Monique) Freeman, and Antonious (Shanice) Freeman of Opelika, AL, Dwight Sturdivant of Decatur, GA, and Precious Crayton of Jackson Gap, AL; seven great great grandchildren: Gabriel Boleware, Jasmine Freeman, Jayda Freeman, Austin Freeman, Destiny Turner, Cora Leann Sturdivant, and Jaylah Sturdivant: A stepdaughter, Rosia (Tommy) Carwell of Alexander City, AL.; A niece: Debra Oliver; Two nephews: Al (Marsha) Ford and Tyrone Foreman; A host of grandnieces, grandnephews, one great-great nephew, and other relatives and friends.
