Mrs. Katie Frizzle Obituary

Katie Mae Todd Frizzle was born in Coosa County Alabama on February 20, 1951 to Louise Todd and Otis Shealey.  She graduated from J. D. Thompson High School, Cottage Grove Community.

After graduating, she attended Virginia State College in Birmingham, Alabama earning an Associate Degree becoming a Medical Lab Technician. She worked for Alabama Asthma & Allergy Center for 38 years. She was the Head Lab Technician.

Katie attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Birmingham, Alabama where she sang in the choir and did other duties.

She was married to Joseph Wilburn II and to this union one child was born, Joseph Benjamin Wilburn III.  Later in life she married Charlie Frizzle for 20 plus years.

She loved her family and her family loved her.

She was preceded in death by  her mom, Louise Todd; father, Otis Shealey; Sister, Louvernia Bradford; brothers: Neal Conaway, Lewis McKinney, Willie Todd; Her husbands: Joseph Wilburn II and Charlie Frizzle and son, Joseph B. Wilburn, III.

Katie departed this life on October 7, 2024 at Coosa Valley Medical Center, Sylacauga, Alabama.

She leaves to cherish in memories: A granddaughters, Janae Wilburn of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Nicole Frizzle of Birmingham, Alabama. Sister, Della (Larry) Murray of Goodwater Alabama. Daughter in law, Bridget Wilburn of Birmingham, Alabama; Grandson, Chosyn Nicko Walker; Bonus grandsons: Glenn Walker; Nieces: Janice Hoyett, Doris Bradford, and Teresa Jones. Nephews: Kenneth Bradford. Terrence Todd,  and  Jerryl Todd; A host of other relatives and friends.
