A Time to be Born: Mrs. Henria Mae Brooks Wilson was born April 20, 1947 in Alexander City, Alabama to the late Mr. Leslie Brooks, Jr., and the late Mrs. Mary Katherine Gamble Brooks.


A Time to Study: Henria Mae studied at Laurel High School. She graduated in 1966. Upon graduating, she relocated to Cleveland, Ohio.


A Time to Love: Henria Mae was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Melvin Wilson.


A Time to Work: While living in Cleveland, Ohio, Henria Mae worked at the Local Hospital.


A Time to Rest: On Monday, February 3, 2025, the angels came to Mrs. Wilson to guide her back home. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Leslie Brooks, Jr. and Mrs. Mary K. (Gamble) Brooks; her husband: Mr. Melvin Wilson; 4 sisters: Ms. Annie Lee Brooks, Mrs. Rosie Lee Russell, Mrs. Tommie Sue Gopher, and Mrs. Leslie Ruth Martin; and 3 brothers: Mr. Tommie Lee Brooks, Mr. Robert Henry Russell and Mr. Charles Brooks.

Mrs. Wilson leaves to cherish her memories: one devoted sister: Mrs. Mary Lee Owens of Alexander City, AL.; one devoted bother: Mr. Freddie Brooks of Alexander City, AL.; one brother-in-law: Mr. Willie C. Martin of Tuscaloosa, AL.; one sister-in-law: Mrs. Mary D. Brooks of Alexander City, AL.; Nephews and Nieces: Mr. Jeffery (Mujahid Abdullah) Owens, Mrs. Jacqueline McKenzie, Mrs. Carla Farquharson, Mr. Michael (Stephanie) Owens, Ms. Temika Brooks, Mrs. Kizzy (Doyle) Metcalf, Ms. Quwanza Brooks, Mr. Freddie D. Brooks, Ms. Mary Ashley Brooks. Great Nephews and Nieces: Lauren Lee, Malik Martin, Noah McKenzie, Paris Morgan, Hailey Owens, Onaje Brooks, Kaden “KJ” Brooks and Katelynn Palmer. Great-Great Nephews and Niece: Josaih Cornegay, Elijah Cornegay, and Desirae McKenzie. A Special Cousin: Mrs. Fannie Boleware and a host of other relatives and friends.
