Mrs. Dorothy 'Carolyn' (Cunningham) Marbury

Dorothy Carolyn Marbury was the Daughter of John R. and Copeland Cunningham.  She was born on May 15, 1946 in Alexander City, Alabama.

Dorothy at a mature age acknowledged God, believed in Jesus, and confessed with her mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord. She married her soulmate, Mr. Sammie Marbury Jr. on January 10, 1970.   Dorothy worked as the central office Receptionist for Alexander City Schools for 14 years. She   retired in 2008. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Carolyn departed this life on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

Dorothy’s son, Michael “Coop” Russell, parents, sister and brother preceded her in death

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Sammie Marbury Jr.; Children: Kenneth B. Russell, Scotty P. Marbury, Carla D. Palmer, Lakeithia D. Culpepper, and Lynnetta D. Ellis.

Constant in her life were her loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Dorothy leaves behind a host of friends and family that all loved her dearly.
