Dorothy Ann Harmon was born April 23, 1941, to Mrs. Anna Lee Gaddis Hill and Mr. Nathaniel Hill in Coosa County.
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Later years she joined Paradise Mission Full Gospel Church where she was a faithful member.
She was united in Holy Matrimony on March 7, 1959, to the late Mr. Shelley James Harmon. To this union three daughters and three sons were born. She was preceded in death by her parents (Nathaniel and Anna Hill), one son (Joe Nathan Harmon), four sisters (Betty Smith, Christine Smith, Willow Dean Lane and Rosie Smith), two brothers (Joseph Hill and Lawrence Hill). and a son-in-law, Henry Hicks
On Friday, August 6, 2021, she departed this life at the University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
She leaves to cherish her memories children: Rebecca Hicks of Alexander City, Alabama, James Harmon (Karen) of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Tina Lauderdale (Everett) of Goodwater, Alabama, Monalesia Chapman (Ellis) of Hillsborough, North Carolina, and Sharron Harmon (Reba) of Goodwater, Alabama. Two sisters Katherine Hill of Goodwater, Alabama, Mary Mitchell (Jim) of Youngstown, Ohio and one brother Eddie Hill of Goodwater, Alabama. Twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
