Mrs. Carolyn Holley Obituary

When someone we love becomes a memory

The memory becomes a treasure

Mrs. Carolyn Brooks Holley was born to the late Thomas Brooks and Waydean Herron-Brooks in Alexander City, Alabama.

Mrs. Holley accepted Christ at an early age at Ridge Grove Baptist Church where she was faithful and dedicated. Most recently she attended the Early Rose Missionary Baptist Church until her health started to decline.

She received her education from Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, Alabama & worked faithfully for Russell Corporation for 43 years. She was loved in the community by many.

She was the “Monarch” of the Brooks family, she was a strong, spiritual, humble woman who always wore a friendly and loving smile with a caring heart. Carolyn cherished and loved her family, above all else especially her children. She was their pillar of strength and always put their needs above hers.

On Tuesday, December 10, 2025, Mrs. Carolyn Holley entered into God’s Kingdom, she fought a good fight until her last breath. God has gained another Angel.

She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Waydean Brooks; Brothers Earl Brooks and Willie Brooks.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her children,

Corey Brooks of Pell City, AL & Andrew Holley of Alexander City, AL; A special niece who was like a daughter Ms. Angela Brooks; One sister, Patricia Rutledge of New Orleans, LA;

10 Grand-children; 18 sisters & brothers-in-law; A host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends; Special friends: Henry Lewis Tuck, Debra Shepard, Joyce Marbury, Delorse Forbes, Tiffany Cotton, Monica Shepard, Barbara Hill, Latravious Black, and Margie Glenn.
