Mrs. Betty Jo Spradley Obituary

Mrs. Betty Jo Spradley was born on February 10, 1939 to the late Mr. Eliza and Mrs. Zelma Buckner.

She accepted Christ at an early age at Friendship Baptist Church.

Mrs. Betty Jo  was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Joseph  Jackson.  She worked at Piggly Wiggly for many years until her health failed.  She loved her family and loved to cook. Also, enjoyed helping other people in anyway she could. Betty Jo will be greatly missed by friends, church members, the community and family.

Betty Jo was called home on November 3, 2021 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Kenneth Jackson; her late husband, Mr. Jack Spradley; a sister, Earnestine Kelley; and  a brother, Mr. Marion Buckner.

Betty Jo leaves to cherish her  memories: 4 children: Joe (Narissia) Jackson of Alexander City, AL; Janice (James) Jones of Killeen, TX; Maya Robinson (Emmett) and Rayo Robinson of Alexander City, AL. 14  grandchildren, 19 great grand children, 10 great-great grandchildren. A brother, Melvin Buckner. A special friend, William C. Harrell.  Three daughters in law: Brenda Spradley, Kathleen Spradley and Claudia Spradley. A son in law, Rev. Clifford Spradley. Three god daughters: Ruth Brown Wilson, Kerlica Coalts Milton, Carolyn Cammon.  Best friend/cousin, Josephine Parker. Special friend: Eloise Russaw, Johnnie Minnifield,  Bobby & Nova Russell, Geraldine Russell and Bernice Whetstone.
