Mrs. Bessie Mae Russell

Bessie Mae Russell , age 72 of Alexander City, AL was born March 5, 1951 in Tallapoosa County.  She departed this life to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 2, 2023.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Russell;  parents: Mr. John Will and Ruthie Thomas; a sister, Mavis Ransaw and a brother, Frederick Thomas

Bessie leaves to cherish her memories, a daughter, Laura Jean Aker of Raleigh, NC; one son, Eddie Jackson, III of Alexander City, AL; one granddaughter, LaShon Aker of Charlotte, NC and one bonus granddaughter, Arianna Taylor of Dadeville, AL.  Sisters: Lucille Johnson of Dadeville, AL; Linda Thomas and Melissa Ann Hutchins of Alexander City, AL.  Brothers: Larry Thomas of Alexander City, AL; Dewayne “Pete” Thomas (Ann) and John “Wayne” Thomas (Vanessa) of Birmingham, AL.  Several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
