Mrs. Annie Lee Moon was born on July 26, 1934, in Coosa County Alabama to the late Glynnie and Rufus Strong.
She gave her life to Christ at an early age and later joined Marrietta Baptist Church. She retired at Russell Mills and was educated at Cottage Grove School.
Mrs. Annie married the love of her life Jerry W. Moon on June 12,1965. Annie was the matriarch of the Moon family. She loved to dance, listen to music, especially (Luther Vandross) and watch Sports & TV/Game shows. She also loved to cook, clean and go shopping. She often talked about how she thanked the good Lord for letting her see another day. She always had an encouraging word for others and an open heart to her family and friends. She was a loving, caring, and devoted wife, wonderful mother and a super grandmother.
Mrs. Annie is preceded in death by her parents Glynnie and Rufus Strong, her 7 brothers and 5 sisters.
Annie Lee Moon departed this life peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2024, in the comfort of her home.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: A loving husband Mr. Jerry W. Moon of Kellyton, AL; One sister Ms. Teresa Smith of Springfield, OH; Five Children: Jerry Cleveland of Milwaukie, WI, Felicia (Lorenzo) Solomon of Mobile, AL, Gregory Moon, Christopher (Denise) Moon, & Lakisha Moon all of Kellyton, AL; Twelve Grandchildren: La’Christopher (Latresa) Moon, Santana Kelly, Diondra Norris, Brittany Moon, LaCreshia(Travis) Davenport, Saccoria (Markco) Davis, AJ Moon, Gregory Moon Jr., Khadijia Kelly, Amari Evans, Ja’Storie Moon, & Xavier Solomon; Twenty Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, family and friends.
