Mr. Michael Malone Obituary

Michael Anthony Malone was born April 28, 1958 in Alexander City, AL to the late Mr. Nathaniel Malone Sr. and Marie Burns Malone.

Michael received Christ at an early age and became a member of Haven United Methodist Church, his family church, located in Alexander City, AL.

Michael graduated from Benjamin Russell High School in 1978. Upon graduation, Michael joined the Armed forces of the United States where he became Sergeant First Class. He received a honorable certificate of retirement from the United States Army.

He went to the Boeing Company and retired there in 2018 in Huntsville, AL. Michael enjoyed what he did and made the best out of everything. He would help anybody and never met any strangers. He loved to tell jokes and always kept a smile on his face. Even though most people never caught the joke, he would rephrase it until they caught it with the biggest smile on his face.

He also loved golfing. He golf  just about every Saturday. Michael loved to run as well. He ran some marathons and loved running in the Huntsville Memorial Day Run. Just as much as he loved running, he walked a lot. Michael took his last walk on Monday August 12, 2024 at the Redstone Memorial Park Trail in Huntsville, AL.

Michael went home doing what he loved doing.

Lets not forget how big of an Alabama fan he was. Before he would end conversations, one of his saying was “ Oh yeah, Roll Tide.”

Michael was loved by many and loved everyone. His name was Michael but we always called him Mike.

Michael was preceded in death by his Parents Mr. Nathaniel Malone Sr and Mrs. Marie Burns Malone, 4 brothers: Henry L. Malone, John A. Malone, Arthur E. Malone, and Joseph F. Malone; 2 Sisters: Charlie Lee Williams and Marie A. Malone.

Mike leaves to cherish his memories 3 brothers: Nathaniel Malone Jr. (Juanita), of Wellington, FL, Oliver L. Malone Sr. of Daviston, AL, & Robert W. Malone (Juanita) of Tuskegee, AL; 2 sisters: Nicra C. Miller of Fort Myers, FL & Marilyn Thomas of Birmingham, AL; Many nephews and nieces; His neighbors from Huntsville, AL Minister Eugene Brown Jr, friends of 26 years, Mrs. Patricia Coleman, friends of 30 years, and Mr. Steven Angelo Fiorino.
