Luther DeAngelo Ford was born November 4, 1938 the 10th child born to George Ford Jr. and Fannie Mae Hammock Ford.
He united with the Sardis Baptist Church at a very young age, and was active there until he graduated from Council High School in 1957.
He joined the United States Army and served for a short time, he then attended LA Culinary School in Los Angeles, Ca. where he completed a two year course of training. He served as a chef and food service technician at the U.S. Naval Air Station in Meridian, MS (10 years) and the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity at Auburn University for more than 25 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory three sisters: Claudia Young, Dadeville, AL; Ida L. Ford, Columbus, GA and Annie M. Lewis of Tuskegee, AL; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, special cousins and caregivers LaSandra Hatcher and Tammy Brooks, a special friends and classmate, Mary Jo. Warren other relatives and friends.
