Mr. Lanell "Pap" Wilson

Bro. Lanell “Pap” Wilson began his life on November 7, 1938 to the parents of the late Darby and Athrene Wilson.

He accepted Christ into his life at an early age, starting at Roseline Baptist Church, After returning from Georgia he united with Almighty God MBC in Goodwater, Alabama.

 Lanell was educated in the Clay County School System. He later started his first job logging which he did for a number of years. Lanell moved to Decatur, Georgia where he began working at a car dealership and later, for the City of Dekalb Georgia where he remained until his retirement in 2005.

Lanell was preceded in death by his parents: Darby and Athrene Wilson.  His wife, Dewey Wilson. His sisters: Doris & Mae Wilson. 2 sisters in law, Betty Wilson and Laura F. Kelly. Nephews: Norris & Cedrick Wilson.

He leaves behind to cherish: three sisters: Pearline Wilson & Karen Burns of Goodwater, Alabama and Geraldine Dixon of Decatur, Georgia. Two brothers: David (Mary) Wilson and Greg Wilson of Goodwater, Alabama.  One sister in law, Beulah Chapman of Goodwater, Alabama. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
