Kenneth graduated from Benjamin Russell High School in 1990. The game-changer was the acceptance of a scholarship to attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham to play on the  first UAB football team from 1992-1994 under the coaching of his mentor The Late Coach James “ Doc” Hilyer.  While attending UAB he became a member of the Pi Upsilon Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated where he was known as “ Kenny Woo”.

After his college playing experience, he decided to continue his love for the game through coaching. He became a part of the coaching staff of the Birmingham Steel Magnolias Women Football League from 2002-2003. From 2004-2005 he became the Assistant Offensive/Defensive Line Coach with the Birmingham Steeldogs Arena Football League, under the leadership of Former Alabama Crimson Tide Player, Coach Bobby Humphrey.

Kenneth continued to enhance his love for football. He volunteered his time coaching with the Alexander City Parks & Rec Youth Football League. With his son by his side he won his first Superbowl Championship game as a Head coach in 2018. After moving to Calera in 2019 he continued to volunteer his time coaching for his son's football team at Calera Middle School as an Offensive / Defensive Lineman Coach.
