Eddie James Zeigler was born in Elmore County, Alabama on April 8, 1960 to the late RT Watts and Emma Lou Hollenquest Isome, who preceded him in death. He accepted Christ at an early age and began a path of devoting his skills and efforts to serve the Lord.
Eddie graduated from Rockford High School in 1979. Upon graduating from High School, he attained a degree from Nunnelly Technical College. As a vibrant young man filled with dreams and aspiration, Eddie served 30 years in finance and managed various positions. Eddie retired April 9, 2010. After a few years of relaxation and traveling, he decided to broaden his knowledge, and graduated from Central Alabama Community College in 2018 with an Associate Degree. Eddie had applied to attend Alabama State University in 2020 for a teachers Degree.
On August 22, 1992 Mr. Eddie James Zeigler married the love of his life Mrs. Annie Ree Smith Zeigler of 27 years, with this union they were blessed with a daughter, Miracle Jaree Zeigler. He was a devoted husband and father. Eddie was a pillow in the community and church, nevertheless, he also was a member of the Masonic Lodge #786. He had a talent for cooking, which he won many cook offs at home and on a professional level. His exposure gave him an opportunity to receive a place in Betty Crocker’s cookbook, which earned him the name “CHEF Z”.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife, Annie Zeigler; his daughter, Miracle Zeigler both of Kellyton, Alabama. 5 brothers: Willie Zeigler of Kellyton, Alabama; Larry (Patricia) Watts, Edward Watts, John Watts all of Electric Alabama; Jimmy (Gloria) Hannon of Equality, Alabama. 3 sisters: Shenetha (Rev. Cedric )Jones, Linda Isom Floyd both of Kellyton, Alabama and Mary Ann ( Jerry) Leary of Jonesboro, Georgia; Brothers-in-law: Everette Smith of Dayton, Ohio, Arthur (Aretha) Smith of Alexander City, Alabama. Sisters-in– law: Vertis Dandridge of Sylacauga, Alabama; Linda Branch of Goodwater Alabama. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. His best friend Toney Hoyett.
