Mr. Charles Earl Kelly known as “Plunk” was born February 23, 1943 to the late Mr. George “Nip” Kelly and Mrs. Lessie Mae Hill Kelly in Coosa County, Alabama.
He joined St. John A.M.E. Church at an early age.
After working for over 29 years, Plunk retired from Coosa County Highway Department.
Charles departed this life at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, AL on Friday, May 2, 2025.
He leaves to cherish his memories one special sister Christine Kelly of Goodwater, AL; Two brothers: George Kelly, Sr of Ashland, AL and Bobby Lee Kelly of San Diego, CA; One son, Patrick Kelly of Goodwater, AL; One daughter, Jarmeila Kelly of Alexander City, AL; Two granddaughters: Mercedes Johnson and A’Miracle Kelly; Two grandsons: Partrick Kelly and Maison Spradley; One great grandson, Ermias Johnson. Nephew, Ty Kelly. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A special friend, Victor Simmons, special cousin Robert Cecil Kelly, and his coworkers: Jerry Self and Big Mike.
