Mr. Arthur Strong Obituary

Arthur was born August 26, 1938, in Goodwater, AL, Arthur James “Skeeter” Strong was the beloved son of the late Arthur William Strong and Ressie Mae Whetstone Strong.

 

Growing up in Goodwater, AL, Arthur accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life he served faithfully as a dedicated Deacon at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church until his health began to decline. He attended Hanna J. Mallory School through the eighth grade. Arthur was a hard working and devoted employee in the transportation field, working for North Alabama Express, Madix, and the Coosa County Road Department.

 

As time winds it course, we look ahead to a future where Arthur’s spirit transcends this earthly realm as he embarks upon his journey toward eternal peace. As the sun set on Tuesday June 2, 2026, Arthur James Strong earthly journey came to a close. He was welcomed into eternal rest by his son, Arthur LeGrant Strong; his parents, Arthur William Strong & Ressie Mae Whetstone Strong; and his siblings who preceded him in death, Pattie Lee Edwards, Harold Strong, and William Cal Strong.

 

In the tapestry of cherished memories that remain, Arthur leaves behind a devoted wife of 64 years, Mollie Mae Sims Strong. His love and presence will forever resonate in the hearts of his children: Pastor Malcon Strong (Sara) of Goodwater, AL, Crystal Reynolds of Goodwater, AL, and Keith Strong of Lincoln, AL. He is also survived by his brothers: Herbert Strong & Daniel Strong (Mary) of Clevland, Ohio, F.A. Strong (Winnie Mae) of

Sylacauga, AL, Douglas Strong (Ollie) and Carl Strong (Diane) both of Goodwater, AL; his sister, Mary Stroud of Goodwater, AL; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
