LUVENIA V. RICHARDSON entered into rest on February 9, 2023 peacefully at home. She was born February 1, 1956 in Alexander City, Alabama to the late James Leonard and Ethel Mae Harkins Hicks.
She was educated in the Alexander City School System. She became a member of the Seleeta Baptist Church early in life. She took pride in treating people right, helping others in need and taking care of her family.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Grover Richardson Jr.
Luvenia was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Richardson Jr.; parents James Leonard and Ethel Hicks; daughter Ebony T. Hicks; four brothers, two sisters, three brother in laws and one sister in law.
She is survived by: one son, Andres D. Hicks (Nidia) of Alexander City AL; eight sisters: Ruth Burns (Lee), Mary Joyce Belyeu and Christine McKinney all of Alexander City, AL, Trecia Harkins of Harvest, AL, Brenda Leonard of Coosa County, AL, Nora Baker of Evans, GA, Emma Jean Osborne and Esther Middleton of New York, NY ; one brother Darcy Hicks (Christell) of Bryam, MS; four grandchildren LaDesha S. Williams ( Rickey Jr) of Birmingham, AL, Shaniqua Heard (Chris) of Tampa, FL , Nia Hicks and Jada Hicks of Duluth, GA; one great grandchild Lathan C. Robinson (known by her as “The Bad Cat”) along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
