Mrs. Gloria Jean Ransaw Dorsey was born on January 17, 1945 in Tallapoosa County Alabama to the late Mr. Rufus Ransaw, Sr. and Mrs. Ruby Wright Ransaw.
She attended Laurel High School in Alexander City, AL. After graduating, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Education. Gloria taught Home Economics in the Montgomery County School System for many years. She attend Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and a faithful member.
She leaves her husband, Mr. Lee A. Dorsey, three daughters: Zabrina (Bernard) Carroll, Kameka (Dedric) Cottrell, and Jennifer Dorsey.
Three loving grandchildren: Jaden Noah Carroll, Brooklyn Alyssa Cottrell, and Zoe Ariana Cottrell.
One loving brother: Stanley (Jeanette) Ransaw
One devoted cousin: Carolyn Marbury
2 nephews: Leon Harrell and Jeremy Ransaw
2 nieces: Jenaire Ransaw and Antionette Harrell
