Deacon Freeman Thomas, Jr. was born to the late Katie Horton Thomas and Freeman Thomas, Sr. on March 12, 1930. He is the youngest of fifteen (15) children born to this union where they all preceded him in death, along with his son, Jeffery Thomas.
He united with the Early Rose Baptist Church, Alexander City, AL where he served and was ordained as a Deacon. Later, he united with the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Goodwater, AL and did the best he could until the Lord changed his station to his eternal home.
On Wednesday, March 20, 2019, he breathed his life out sweetly at the Bill Nichols State Veterans Home, Alexander City, AL.
He is survived by a loving wife, Pauline Norris Thomas. Two daughters: Brenda Thomas of Hempstead, NY and Gloria Thomas of Arizona. Three step-daughters: Belinda (Robert) Horton, Exie Sterns and Zabralara McGhee, a step-son. Rev. Berlyn (Farie) Norris. One sister-in-law, Irene Walker of Alexander City, AL. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
