Classie Pogue

Miss Classie Mae Pogue was born October 29, 1963 to the late Mr. Horace and Mrs. Shirley Ann Brooks Pogue.

Classie departed this walk of life to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at UAB Hospital, Birmingham, AL.  Classie Mae accepted Christ at an early age. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Classie Mae leaves to cherish her memories: A loving daughter (her punkin), Ms. Shannon Pogue (Chris) of Montgomery, AL. A special friend, Mr. John Henry Russell of Jackson’s Gap, AL. A god grandson, Skylar Russell.  Six brothers: Willie Horace Pogue of Jackson’s Gap, AL; Michael Pogue (Barbara) of Dadeville, AL; David Crayton, Malcolm Simmons both of Dadeville, AL; Willie Crayton and Charles Crayton both of Jackson’s Gap, AL. Four sisters: Kathy Cunningham of Alexander City, AL; Michelle Slaughter (Kerry) of Dadeville, AL; Yolanda Devero (Anthony) of Alpine, AL, and Brenda Tinsley (Melvin) of Jackson’s Gap, AL.  One uncle, Matthew Brooks of Cleveland, OH.  Five aunts: Mary Lois Shealey of Hartford, CT; Jonell Pogue of Camp Hill, AL; Hozell Pogue of Alexander City, AL; Sarah Hill of Ontario, CA, and Bertha (Terry) Stowes of Alexander City, AL.  A god daughter, Miss Itlay Russell.  A host of great uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
