Carrie Marie Thompson

Carrie Marie Thompson was the 11th child born in Eclectic, Alabama May 20, 1932 to Johnie Henry & Viola Matilda (Robinson) Thompson. She was affectionately known to all as “Marie”

After turning 90 May 20th , Marie passed away May 30, 2022 in Sterling Heights, Michigan.  She was the last living great grand child of David & Matilda (Jones) Westbrooks and Stephen & Rebecca Thompson and she was the last living grandchild of John Bolin & Dora Ann (Westbrooks) Robinson and Caleb & Harriet (Peavy) Thompson. Marie was the mother of ten children, her first-born Luther passed as a new born, her last living sister Clara passed in January.

Memories of her kind, caring and unconditional love will live on through: Her children; James (Georgina) Thompson, Brenda Marie Alston, Charles (Brenda) Harrison, Queenie E Hunter, Alonza (Vicki) Thompson, Marolyn Harrison, John Darryl Thompson, Percy (Alicia) Thompson, Leonard Guy Thompson, Cynthia (Robert) Freter, LaVerne Williams and Patricia Cabo, Adopted son; Pastor Carl (Shatona) Curry,  Adopted brother; Tommy Lee Barnes, 26 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
