Carlos Strong Obituary

Carlos B. Strong began life’s journey on March 5, 1971. He was born at Sylacauga Hospital to Mr. Carl (Diane) Strong of Goodwater, AL. He accepted Christ at Macedonia Baptist Church in Goodwater, AL. at an early age and was a resident of Panama City, FL. On September 24, 2020, Carlos transitioned to be with the Lord at the age of 49.

Carlos attended Coosa Central High School where he was a part of the first ever graduating class of 1989. After high school, he worked for several corporations such as Stan’s Food Market, Pepsi Cola, and Walmart. In 2002, he landed a job at Oceaneering as a oil field supplier and advanced to Lead Maintenance Technician V. With exceptional leadership and work ethic, he was chosen Chairman of the Oceaneering Diversity Committee and positioned for Executive Management for the company.

Carlos was a devoted grandfather and avid provider to his family. He enjoyed Georgia football, traveling the country, and spending quality time with family and friends. He was an excellent cook and also enjoyed finding places to eat when traveling.

Carlos is survived by the love of his life Ruby Taylor of Panama City, FL; parents, Carl and Diane Strong of Goodwater, AL, his siblings, Roderick Leonard of Tifton, GA, Monica Strong of California, MD, and Bridget Benson (Javid) of Atlanta GA, his grandchild, Ari Taylor of Panama City, FL; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many special cousins, friends, and other relatives who will greatly miss him.
