Mr. Willie Henry Hicks was born on June 23, 1954 in Alexander City, Alabama to the late Mr. Arthur and Mrs. Ida Mae Hicks.
After confessing Christ, he joined the Seleeta Baptist Church, Alexander City, Alabama.
He united in Holy Matrimony to Rebecca Harmon on August 17, 1979 and to this union two children were born.
Henry graduated from BRHS in 1972 and Alabama State University in 1977. He began his teaching career in Goodwater, AL. Later returning to his home town where he finished his career after being an Educator and Coach for over 38 years.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Nathaniel Hicks and Allen Buckner, one sister, Dorothy Holley, one grandson, Landon, two nieces, Sharronica Holley and Monica Hicks.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife of 39 years, Rebecca, daughter, Natasha Hicks and son, Brandon Hicks all of Alexander City, AL, son, Varshinski Pressley of
Columbus, GA. Two sisters: Dia Ann Williams (Leon). And Elaine (Tommy) Bailey both of Alexander City, AL. Three brothers: Arthur (Genevieve) Hicks, Jr. of Alexander City, AL; Mallie (Mary) Hicks of Sacramento, Ca and Roger (Barbra) Hicks of Canton, Mississippi. Mother-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy Harmon of Goodwater, AL. Two aunts:
Mrs. Louise Ross of Chicago, IL, Mrs. Verga R. (James) Hicks of Alexander City, AL. Five sisters-in-law: Tina (Everett) Lauderdale of Goodwater, AL; Monalesia (Ellis) Chapman of Hillsborough, NC; Melinda (Jackie) Winters of Phoenix City, AL; Juliet Hicks and Tina Buckner of Chicago, IL; two brothers-in-law: James (Karen) Harmon of Lawrenceville, GA. Sharron (Reba) Harmon of Goodwater, AL. Ten grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
