Stacy 'BB' Bernard McKinney

Stacy Bernard McKinney aka ‘BB’ was the sixth child born to the late Mr. Issac J.W. and Pastor Annie L. McKinney on Sunday, October 7, 1962.  He graduated from Goodwater High School in 1982.

Stacy lived his life to the fullest.  Everyone that knew him, knew that BB was living his best life.  He really enjoyed life and expressed it daily with his witty and crazy personality.  Most people knew him as a Master Mechanic.  He knew most cars inside out.  He was capable of tasks as complex as rebuilding a motor something as simple as changing the oil.  Whichever one it was, he could do either without any assistance.  Overall, he loved it and the customers that trusted his skills.

Proceeding Stacy in death were his parents and his brother, Isiaha McKinney, Jr.

Stacy leaves to his memories: four daughters: Crystal M.Edwards, Tarquette Glenn both of Goodwater, Alabama; Ashley R. Edwards of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and Shantae McKinney of Wilmington, Delaware.  Three sons: Cortney Edwards, Ser’Derrick B. Edwards and Landreka Cook all of Goodwater, Alabama.  He was blessed with twenty-four grand kids. Stacy also leaves to cherish his memories; five sisters: Charlotte (Rufus) Smith of Pike Road, Alabama; Pamelyn (Larry) Meadows of Hinesville, Georgia; Berlinda (Dennis) Howard of Goodwater, AL; Loraine (Kevin) Johnson of Montgomery, Alabama; and Terrie (Bill) McKinney of Goodwater, Alabama. Five brothers: Evlys McKinney, Sylvester (Ann) McKinney, Erskin (Melanie) McKinney all of Goodwater, Alabama; Bishop Douglas (Peggy) McKinney of Montgomery, Alabama and Jerry (Kathy) McKinney of Childersburg, Alabama.

BB had a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and associates.  Special friends he enjoyed their company (Theresa, Penny) and others.  He loved everyone and made sure that they had a great time whenever in his presence.  He loved his blues music and dancing with anyone that could “hang” with him.  You had to have known him, to get the picture.
