Ronnie Martin was called by his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 20, 2018.
He was born to Tom Martin Sr. and Irene Richardson-Martin in Selma, AL. He later moved to Detroit, MI in 1969 where he attended Detroit public schools. Because of his ears and how fast he ran, everyone called him “Rabbit”.
Ronnie attended the neighborhood recreation center, where he mastered the sport of boxing. He was so naturally gifted he won the “Golden Glove” award. Skilled at karate, he also earned a black belt degree. He loved cars and motorcycles and took pride in keeping them clean and shiny.
Whenever you saw Ronnie, he was happy, smiling and talking about the Lord!
He leaves to cherish his memories; his father, Tom Martin, Sr of OH, mother, Irene Richardson-Martin of GA. his life partner, Mary Brown of Camp Hill, AL, five siblings, Barbara Armstrong (preceded in death), Tom Martin Jr. (Linda) of GA, Doris Martin of GA, Menthonia Martin of MS and Shannon Martin-Wells (Curtis) of MI, one uncle Hollis Richardson, four beautiful children: Ronnie Martin, Jr., Michael Martin, Rodney Forbes and Arkita Townsend Martin; step-children Doretha Stone, Regina Brantley (Marc), D’Andre Brown all of MI, Felicia Brown of AL, Cynthia Slade (Scott) of NC and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, grandchildren and friends.
