Calvesta was born on September 2, 1950 to the late Henry and Emma Mae Graham in Coosa County Alabama and transitioned on July 7, 2019 at Russell Medical Center, Alexander City, AL.
She was the youngest child of ten, hence the nickname, “Newbone”.
Calvesta confessed her life to Christ and was baptized on September 6, 2009 and became a faithful member of Jehovah-Jireh Ministries until her transition. To everyone she knew, she was a caring person with the biggest heart and she always put the needs of others before her own.
She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Henry, William, Alonza, and Alfonzo as well as one sister, Lela Mae.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving and devoted companion of forty-seven years, James Poole. Eight sons: Alford Graham, Adrian Graham (Brenda), Alonzo Russell (Vonda), Darryl Ward (Dalisher), Anthony Graham (Catherine), Alexander Graham (Torre), Antonio Graham (Rosland), and LeTrayrick Graham (La’Tasha). Two daughters: Rhonda Ward and Monecia McCoy.Two brothers: Tommy Graham and Willie James Graham (Dorothy). Two sisters: Alline Ware and Alice Benson. Forty-three grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
