Mrs. Thelma Louise (Moten) Marbury was born on June 9, 1928 in Alexander City, Alabama to the late Mr. Oliver Wendell Moten and the late Mrs. Seleara Culpepper Moten.
She was employed with Russell Medical Center where she later retired. She touched the lives of many with her pleasing personality and genuine love for others.
Mrs. Thelma was an active and dedicated member of Haven Memorial United Methodist Church for many years.
Mrs. Marbury was preceded in death by her husband, James Arthur Marbury, daughter, Pauline Parrish, siblings: Mary Moten Poole, William Moten, Harvey Moten, Elsie Moten Harris, Evelyn Moten Rowell and Robert G. Moten.
She departed this life peacefully on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at her home.
She leaves to cherish her memories: 3 daughters, Belinda Holley, Rev. Shirleen Harvey and Darlene (Eddie) Johnson all of Alexander City, Alabama. Four grandchildren: Undra (April) Marbury, Pelham, Alabama; Kenyatta P. Johnson, Auburn, Alabama; Eddie Jr. (Akisha) Johnson and Edward D. Harvey, II both of Auburn, Alabama. Ten great grandchildren. Two brothers: Mr. Oliver (Catherine) Moten and Mr. Walter Moten all of Alexander City, Alabama. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
