Mrs. Jeanette Colvin Oliver was born December 20, 1937, to the late Mr. Tera Colvin and Mrs. Rosa Lee Cox Colvin.
Jeanette became a member of the Great Bethel Baptist Church at an early age. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Willie ’James’ Oliver and to this union five children were born. Jeanette was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann.
Jeanette attended Laurel High School , later attending Central Alabama Community College, Alexander City, AL. She retired from Russell Corporation after more than 30 years of service.
She leaves to cherish: three daughters, Carlyon (Johnnie) Robbins of Alexander City, AL; Regina (Kenneth) Stevens of Jonesboro, GA; Cherryl Oliver of Milledgeville, GA; one son: Ronnie Oliver of Alexander City, AL.
Four sisters: Brucie Cook, Lillian Barrett, Daisy Rickman and Geraldine Stephens. One Brother, William Colvin (Naomi). Nine grandchildren: Nicholas and Cordero Robbins; Cory and Shadowski Edwards; Ronnie and Reo Oliver; Terianey Smith, Gabrielle Stevens Nash and Brandon Stevens. Fifteen great grandchildren . Three sisters-n-law: Annie Ruth Corbin of Alexander City, AL; Emma Bynum of Gadsden, AL; Virginia Ann (Oscar) Russell of Detroit, MI. Two brothers-in-law: Lester (Helen) Oliver of Ann Arbor, MI. and Bobby Oliver of Detroit, MI. One Special Niece: Emma Corbin, Ann Arbor, MI. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
