Richard T. 'Peter' Marbury

             Mr. Richard T. Marbury was born October 15, 1948 to Mr. Alfonza and Mrs. Josephine Marbury, Sr. He joined Peace & Goodwill Baptist Church at an early age.  He graduated from J. D. Thompson High School in 1968.

             He was preceded in death by his father, mother, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

            God called him home February 16, 2017.

            Mr. Richard T. Marbury leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife of 46 years, Joyce McGhee Marbury. Out of that union two children were born: Shantel Marbury and Richard T. Marbury, Jr. both of Rockford, AL.  Three grandchildren, two of which he raised as his own: Chankaria (Montavis) Brown of Eclectic, AL and Carren Marbury of Rockford, AL and Richard T. Marbury, III.  2 great granddaughters:  Kampbell Brown and Blakelee Marbury,  A mother-in-law, Mrs. Ruby Crawford of Cottage Grove, AL. A loving brother, Mr. James  (Judy) Marbury of Rockford, AL.  Two sisters: Mrs. Karean Darnell of Milwaukee, WS and  Mrs. Thelma (Ronald) Wood of Olathe, KS.  6 sisters-in-law: Lorraine Maxwell of Kellyton, AL, Sara (Tony) Fletcher of Freeport, NY, Martha Jean (Earl) Cox of Atlanta, GA, Cheryl Walker of Detroit, MI, Alice (Sam) Barnes of Kellyton, AL and Doris (Fred) Smoot of Cottage Grove, AL.  One brother-in-law,  Edward B. McGhee of Alexander City, AL.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
