Carolyn Malinda (Hall) Lewis

July 16, 1956 ~ June 12, 2017 (age 60) 60 Years Old

Mrs. Carolyn Malinda Hall-Lewis was born July 16, 1956 to the late Mr. McClinton Hall, Sr. and the late Mrs. Nannie Bell Hall.

Carolyn, was affectionately called “Linda” by her family and friends.  Linda confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Early Rose Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a member.

She was faithfully employed at Russell Mills in Alexander City, Alabama and Kentucky Fried Chicken as the General Manager for 20 plus years where she retired.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Cecil Lewis on July 13, 1996. Linda had four children, Derek (Trina) Hall, Reginald (Michelle) Hall, Jarvis (Niesha) Hall, and Niesha N. Hall. She has three stepchildren: Samantha Lewis, Cecelia Brown and Al Brown.

On June 12, 2017, God saw that she was getting a little weary, so He did what He knew was best. He came and stood by her bedside and whispered, “Come and go home with Me and rest.”

She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. McClinton Hall, Sr. Her mother, Mrs. Nannie Bell Hall. Two brothers: Mr. Johnny Wayne Hall and Clifton Hall. One sister, Brenda Hall. A brother-in-law, Mr. Emmitt (Jap) Lewis.

She leaves also to cherish her memories: Brothers: Rev. McClinton (Sandra) Hall, Jr. and Mr. Calvin D. Hall. Two devoted sisters: Ms. Celeste Kennedy and Mrs. Marion (John) Cox, all of Alexander City, AL. Her sisters-in-law: Debbie Lewis, Gussie (Norman) Clifton, Olivia Lewis, Joyce Ann (Jake) Moss, Maggie (James) Patterson, Barbara Murch and Dorothy Cook.Two loving aunts: Mrs. Mattie M. (Charles) Wilson and Ms. Annie Ruth Harris.

She also leaves her nineteen (19) grandchildren and five (5) great-grandchildren who she loved and adored with all her heart. One Godchild, Mr. Christopher Minnifield. A Cherished Sister/Friend, Ms. Maxine Conaway-Hall and a Special Friend, Ms. Pinky Leonard.

Linda cared for and helped to raise several of her nieces, nephews and cousins that adored her. She also leave a host of other relatives and friends.
